I currently coordinate Plantwise communications in 12 African countries, as the Plantwise Communications Expert. Working closely with the CABI marketing and communications team, I provide communications expertise to national teams on initiatives to raise Plantwise and CABI Corporate awareness and promote exchange of knowledge with a range of audiences (including farmers, extension workers, researchers, trainers, commercial businesses and policy-makers) in the most appropriate format to achieve set objectives. I also conceptualize and produce news items on Plantwise activities and developments for use on the Plantwise and CABI websites, the Plantwise blog, quarterly newsletter, impact videos and other channels. A key part of my role also involves coordinating and managing relationships with Plantwise donor representatives, national and international partners to facilitate collaboration in the production of communication products and services.
